Leopards 3-0 In District

Last week the Leopards got a great win against Princeton in front of a rowdy home crowd, and then traveled to Nevada Community to win again to bring their district record to 3-0.
The JV and Freshmen also came away with victories in both contests. The 7th Grade went 1-1-1 while the 8th Grade dropped all three games against Ereckson.
Big Game This Week Against Prosper
The Leopards next game is Tuesday night when they host Prosper. It is another big district game and a rowdy crowd always boosts the team, so come on out and cheer. Varsity at 7:30, JV at 5:00 and Freshmen at 6:15. The Lady Leopards will also be playing.

Leopards Open District With Win

The Leopards opened district play with a good win against a feisty Lone Star team. Early on the Leopards used their larger size on offense and strong defense to steadily pull away but the Rangers hit several 3 pointers to stay in the game. The Leopards continued to play well and fended off a late 4th quarter push by the Rangers to win 72-61.
In sub-varsity action, the JV went ahead early and hung on to win 52-49. The Freshmen were behind for most of their game, but came back in the fourth and took the lead before eventually falling by 1, 64-65.
Next up for the Leopards is 20th ranked Princeton on Tuesday night in the Leopard’s district home opener. It is a big game and the boys need your support so please come and bring your friends and family.
In other district action Friday night, Prosper defeated Nevada Community and Princeton topped Farmersville.

Leopards Take On Lone Star To Open District

After impressive wins over Argyle last week and Kaufman on Monday night, and a challenging game versus 5A highly-ranked Desoto last Saturday, the Leopards are primed to open district tonight when they visit Frisco Lone Star. The Varsity teams from both schools have played well during the early season and this should be a good matchup.
Fan support always give the boys a boost so come on out and cheer for your Leopards as they open district play.
Varsity game at 7:30, JV at 5:00 and Freshmen at 6:15.

Welcome to the 2011-2012 year of Lovejoy Leopards Boys Basketball. The boys have had a great start to the season and are ready for another run in District 11-3A.
