Joe Gonzalez Signs With Collin College

Lovejoy senior Joe Gonzalez has signed to play basketball with Collin College. Joe begins his college pursuit after dominating the inside for years as a member of the Lovejoy Leopards basketball team. He holds several career records at Lovejoy High School and was a key component in building the young Leopard basketball program into what it is today.

Scholarships Awarded

The Fast Break Club is pleased to announce that this year’s senior scholarships have been awarded. This year’s scholarship recipients are:

In a special note, Joseph Gonzalez was named All-State and All-Region this year and has signed to play basketball with Collin College.
And congratulations to Nick Victor, a 2011 LHS graduate, who will be playing basketball at Yale starting in the fall.
Congratulations to all these guys and thanks for all the hard work they contributed to the program.

Annual Lovejoy Country Run on Saturday, May 19th

The sixth annual Lovejoy Country Run will be held on Saturday, May 19th at Lovejoy High School. There is a certified 5K race and a 1K Fun Run. There will be music, a bounce house, face painting and more. Plus you can enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast after the run.
This is the major fundraiser for Lovejoy athletic programs funded through Lovejoy Leopards, Inc. Your participation supports all Lovejoy student athletes.

End Of Season Banquet and Awards

Last week’s banquet noted the end of another great season of Leopards Boys Basketball. The banquet was a huge success and a great way to celebrate the great season for all the high school teams. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped and a special thanks to Charlene Graham for all her work.
Thanks to the players for all their work and hustle during the long season. They played great basketball and were fun to watch. Some players were selected for special consideration:
